Professional Art Practice Mentorship

OCTOBER 2024 Cohort

You may believe, as I once did, that to become a professional artist you need to attend a top art college or come from an affluent background. I am living proof that this is a fallacy. This mentorship course will detail the practical steps you need to take, to give yourself the best chance of sustaining a career as a full time artist. I was featured on Forbes’ 30 Under 30 list 2023 & in 2022 I became a member of The Royal Society of British Artists. I have won multiple awards including The UK New Artist of The Year Award ‘22 & The Hermione Hammond Drawing Award ‘23. I’ve also been on the judging panel for the Signature Art Prize ‘22, The RBA Annual Open ‘23 & the UK New Artist of the Year ‘23. Being able to see the perspective of art prize judges has offered me invaluable insights. I had no guidance at the start of my career when I began exhibiting my work in 2015. In the proceeding years I often felt disillusioned. With the clarity of hindsight, I can now clearly outline the steps I took that resulted in me being able to sustain a career as a full time artist since 2019. I know all too well that it can be frustrating knowing where to start or if you’re on the right track. The process of cultivating a professional art practice is too often spoken of in vague abstract terms lacking substance. My mentorship course will demystify the process of becoming a professional artist through 3 online sessions, where I will be providing detailed and practical advice from my own personal experiences. The mentorship consists of 3 Zoom meetings, each lasting 1 hour 15 mins. Spaces are limited to 16 participants in each cohort. The course costs £200, or £175 if purchased by August 15th.
